Italia “Edith” Luciano, 85

Italia “Edith” Christine Marie Luciano, 85, entered into eternal life peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 26, 2015. Born June 19, 1930 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Josephine Mancini Verderese and Joseph Mancini and her step-father Pasquale Verderese. She was the wife of Charles Luciano of Hopkinton.

Edith was blessed with twenty grandchildren, twenty-five great children and three great-great children and many nieces and nephews. “Our Mom was always loving, caring and giving to all who entered her home. She lived for others and gave them her Mother's heart. The influence on her children is beyond calculation for she molded our lives that we will carry with us for the rest of our days.”

Besides her husband, she leaves behind a brother, Americo “Corky” Mancini and her six children, Jo-Ann (Luciano) Halvey and her husband Michael Halvey of Cary, NC, Linda Luciano Nixon of Kennesaw, GA, Jerome Luciano and his wife Joanne Luciano of Martinsburg, WV, Charles Luciano and his wife Nancy Luciano of Paducah, KY, Lisa (Luciano), Manion- Begnoche and her husband Keith Begnoche of Johnston, RI, and Rose Luciano of Milford. She is predeceased in death by her brothers Orazio, Frank, Fred and sister Philomena. She also had three step brothers Joseph, Angelo and Nicholas Verderese.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th from 4-8p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30a.m. on Friday, October 30th at St. John the Evangelist Church in Hopkinton. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Family wishes to extend their gratitude to Beacon Hospice.
