Thanks to Representative Carolyn Dykema, Dustin Neece's "Honoring the Spirit" painting will be part of the Massachusetts State House Iwo Jima Anniversary Event. The painting is based on the story of 6 marines and 1 sailor, all with ties to Hopkinton. The artist based his interpretation on lengthy interviews with the three veterans who are still alive. The "Honoring the Spirit" and related artifacts will be on display.

MC, John MacGillivary will build the painting and the Hopkinton story into his remarks. House Speaker Robert DeLeo will be honored during the event.
