The Town of Hopkinton seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant for the Senior Services Department.

Hiring Salary: $20.93 to $25.12 Hourly, depending on qualifications

Competitive Leave and Benefits package
40 hour work week: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This position provides skilled administrative and office management work providing various types of support
to the daily operations of the Town’s thriving Senior Center requiring tact and discretion with a flexible and
cooperative approach; performs moderately complex administrative duties.
Education, Training and Experience
Equivalent to an Associate’s Degree and two to three years of experience in an office setting in an
administrative or office management capacity; or any equivalent combination of education and
experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
● Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences including public
officials and the general public.
● Ability to handle multiple tasks, determine priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced office
environment; maintain accurate and detailed records.
● Ability to learn public administration policies and practices particularly related to elder affairs.
● Computer skills that encompass effective use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email
and internet browser software. Experience with the Google platform and Publisher Preferred.
● Experience working with the senior population Preferred.
Required Licensing/Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (or ability to certify within
three (3) months from start date).
