The Town of Hopkinton is seeking a Senior Services Director

The Senior Services Director, under the direction of the Town Manager and policy direction of the Council on Aging, directs and manages the Town of Hopkinton’s flourishing Senior Center. This is accomplished by working to meet the needs of Hopkinton’s seniors; planning and formulating exciting services and policies; directing, training and supervising a top-notch staff for optimum services; offers fun, entertaining and innovative programs and works collaboratively with town departments, community groups, senior networks and related agencies.

The incumbent performs supervisory, administrative and professional work in planning, organizing and directing senior services and activities, responsible for the daily operations of a robust Senior Center; develops and implements customer service policies; responds to inquiries and suggestions from the public, maintains and improves the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under their direction and control.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must meet the following to be considered qualified for this position:

Education, Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Business, Public Administration or a related field and five to seven years (5 – 7) of progressively responsible experience working with the senior population with a minimum of three (3) years of management experience; Master's Degree Preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Licensing/Certification: ServeSafe Manager Certificate; valid U.S. Driver’s License; must obtain CPR/AED. Director Certification by the Massachusetts Councils on Aging Preferred.

Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications.
