The Town of Hopkinton is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Working
Foreman, within the Department of Public Works’ Highway Division. The Town of Hopkinton is

Salary: Full range for this position is $27.42 to $30.04 with an expected initial hiring range
of $27.42 to $28.87, depending on qualifications.
Includes excellent benefits, leaves, and pensions.
Hours: M-F, 6:30 am – 2:30 pm, overtime required
Answers emergency calls and responds to emergencies during and after normal business
hours.

The Working Foreman provides supervisory and technical work in a participatory manner related
to all Highway Division activities in the Town. The employee performs laboring duties incidental
to supervisory duties and operates heavy equipment; assists the Highway Manager with all daily
operations of the Division including, but not limited to, snow and ice operations, dispatching
subcontractors, and road construction, maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:
High school equivalency; five years of progressively responsible experience in highway
maintenance operations. Supervisory experience preferred.
Required Licensing/Certification:
Possession of a valid 2B Hoisting License and MA Class B CDL.
