Laughter Ensues in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"

Tony Award Winning Musical at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts this March (February 4, 2016 - HOPKINTON, MA) — Enter Stage Left Theater (ESL) presents The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee for two weekends of performances this March in Hopkinton. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee taking place in the geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School, where six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Directed by Denise Laumeister. Music Direction by Henry Buck. Performances are March 11-13 and 18-20, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m, in the Delbridge Family Performance Space at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts (98 Hayden Rowe St. Hopkinton). Tickets are $20 adults and $15 for students and seniors (60+). Premium seating is available for $30. Adult content. Not appropriate for young audiences. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, is a musical comedy conceived by Rebecca Feldman with music and lyrics by William Finn, a book by Rachel Sheinkin and additional material by Jay Reiss. Cast list: Andrew Ross (Medway) as Chip Tolentino, Jarryd Blanchard (Fairhaven) as Mitch Mahoney, Laura Frye (Waltham) as Rona Lisa Perretti, Mark Laumeister (Hopedale) as Vice Prinicpal Douglas Panch, Matthew Fliegauf (Hopkinton) as Leaf Coneybear, Melissa Ennulat (Norfolk) as Olive Ostrovsky, Noelle Laumeister (Hopedale) as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenniere, Ryan Leverone (Franklin) as William Barfee, and Taylor Forsmo (Hopkinton) as Marcy Park.
