In honor of Women's History Month, Brandeis Professor Janet Giele will lead a discussion about the popular and controversial book "Lean In" by Sheryl Sandberg at the Hopkinton Public Library on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:00 PM. Get your copy from the library today!

Professor Giele has devoted her academic career to studying women's changing roles, particularly from the standpoint of women themselves - exploring why they have taken on new roles, why they have sometimes resisted change, and how their changing lives have been intertwined with shifts in the larger society. She is Professor Emerita of Sociology, Social Policy, and Women's Studies at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University.
