Today Leda Arakelian of Hopkinton announced that she is running for Republican State Committee in the Second Middlesex & Norfolk Senatorial District. The election is Tuesday, March 3rd.

“I am proud to be running on the same ballot as President Donald Trump. I am committed to growing the GOP and recruiting strong candidates,” said Arakelian. “The State House is tilting more and more to the extreme left. We cannot become a sanctuary state for illegals, so I will be working hard to defeat Democrat incumbents with fresh face Republicans.”

As the next member of the Republican State Committee, Arakelian is committed to recruiting and training candidates, growing the GOP’s grassroots movement, working to get the GOP message out across the district, and helping to re-elect President Donald Trump.

“Massachusetts is not a lost cause. We can rebuild. I am willing to put in the long hours and hard work to make it happen,” said Arakelian.
Republican State Committee members are elected every four years on the Republican Presidential Primary. There is one man and one woman elected from every senatorial district to the 80 member committee. Their jobs are to promote and grow the GOP locally and recruit top-notch Republican candidates within the district.

The Second Middlesex & Norfolk district includes the towns of: Framingham, Natick, Holliston, Hopkinton, Ashland, Franklin precincts 5,6,8, and Natick precincts 1-5,8.

President Trump will face former Governor Bill Weld on the Republican Primary ballot on March 3rd.
