On Wednesday, August 13th at 8pm, Ashland 7's take on the winner of the 5pm Medfield-Quincy game in a Massachusetts Independent Baseball league final-championship matchup. Dylan Fonseca gets the start on the mound for the 19 and 2 Ashland 7's.
Ashland took down Quincy on Tuesday 4 to 1 after a great pitching performance from Dom Cavanagh. Dom Cavanagh had a 2-RBI base-hit in the 5th to give Ashland a 3-1 lead, Tyler Dossas followed up with an RBI-Hit to drive in Cavanagh and that was the last of the scoring for the evening. On Wednesday night, the Ashland 7's plated 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th on a Medfield wild pitch and defeated the River-Rats 4 to 3 to advance to the championship round!
If the 7's win tonight they will be the Massachusetts Independent League Champion, if their opponent wins, there will be a win it all or go-home game tomorrow evening in Quincy at 5pm.
