With the announcement on Friday by the School Committee that Superintendent Jonathan Landman has resigned effective June 30, there has been a lot of conjecture about why.

The press release states that "although he remains devoted to public service through educational leadership, after much reflection and discussion with family, friends and colleagues, he has come, respectfully, to recognize that his style and strengths have not been a good fit with the expectations and approach of the Hopkinton School District. He has concluded that he can better serve public education in a different setting."

While HCAM News is not privy to any further details, we offer this replay of our story written in December of 2011 which is a synopsis of the initial presentation of Landman's preliminary FY2013 budget, his first in Hopkinton.
