Maureen R. Lavoie, 85

Maureen R. Lavoie, 85, died Thursday, July 31, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Rogers) Lavoie.

She was a life-long resident of Hopkinton, graduating from Hopkinton High School in 1947. She worked at Dennison Manufacturing as a payroll manager for 40 years until her retirement. She was an active member of the Hopkinton Senior Center and loved to travel. She was an avid Boston sports fan and loved playing bingo. Most of all, she was devoted to her garden and cherished the many hours spent working there.

Maureen is survived by her brother Robert Lavoie and her sister Francis McBride, both of Hopkinton. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Charlotte Lavoie.

A funeral Mass will celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Franklin.Friends and relatives are welcome to gather at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for procession to the church. Calling hours at Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street are Monday, August 4, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
