May 23, The American Legion Post 202, and local scouts will flag the cemeteries starting at 4:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, then continue onto Mt. Auburn & St John’s.
May 27, Memorial Day, begins at Evergreen Cemetery -9:45 AM- includes speakers, wreath laying, playing of Taps and rifle salute. Then on to the corner of Main & Marshall, where we reassemble and begin the parade that travels along Mayhew St- through the two cemeteries, and back to Main St- where the parade travels onto the Common and the Gazebo- at approx.. 11:30 AM we continue activities- invocation, wreath laying, High School band selections, guest speaker, a Selectboard member will speak, playing taps, rifle salute, and raising of the American Flag- at noon-- All veterans are urged to be part of the Parade through town.
