The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) has announced that all 8 State Final Basketball games will be played in Springfield, Massachusetts. The games will be hosted by the Basketball Hall of Fame and Western Massachusetts Sports Commission. Last year the DCU Center served as the home for Boys and Girls Division 1, 2 and 3 State Championships, while Holy Cross College served as the home for the Boys and Girls Division 4 State Championship games.

A Masslive.com report from April detailed the proposal; "2 venues in Springfield will host 4 games each, Springfield College's Blake Arena and the Mass Mutual Center will each host four games simultaneously on a Saturday afternoon. The First game would start at 12:00 while the last game will take place at 7:30 pm."

The report mentioned that the appeal to Springfield was the ceremonies surrounding the games. The report stated that teams would arrive the Friday before the games and practice at the venues leading to a banquet at the Basketball Hall of Fame that evening. "Additionally, the Hall of Fame plans a year-round digital display and a plaque commemorating each winner. "
