Aerial mosquito spraying was conducted as planned in parts of the spray zone in Worcester and Middlesex counties overnight. The MDAR spray map has been updated to show the sections that were sprayed - https://massnrc.org/spray-map/middlesex-worcester.htm.

Aerial mosquito spraying is expected to continue starting at 7:30 p.m. this evening (weather dependent) in areas that were not sprayed last night. Spraying will continue, as needed, on additional nights until completion of the spray zone. We will let you know when spraying has been completed.

The MDAR spray map will be updated daily. Map preparation takes time and may result in some delays in posting.

Although the aerial spray is considered necessary to reduce human risk, it will not eliminate it. Residents must continue to protect themselves from mosquito bites by staying indoors during peak mosquito hours, applying insect repellent when outdoors, draining standing water where mosquitoes breed, and repairing screens in doors and windows. Residents should also take steps to protect their domestic animals from mosquito bites.

In addition to the MDAR spray map listed above, these are also great resources for updates:

Please keep in mind that the aerial spraying is a Massachusetts Department of Public Health initiative and not under the direct control of the Town of Hopkinton.
