Nazzareno L. "Reno" Baci, 92

Nazzareno L. Baci, 92, of Milford passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Countryside Health Care, Milford. He was the husband of 66 years of the late Alma Baci (Petrilli) who passed away September 6, 2017.

'Reno' was a Court Officer in the Worcester Superior Court and a Worcester County Deputy Sheriff for decades before retiring to spend time with his family. He was also a Milford Park Commissioner for 42 years. He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in WWII, stationed in the Philippines and China.

A lifelong resident of Milford, he was born to the late Nazzareno Baci and Cesira (Savelli) Baci and attended Milford High School.

Reno avidly enjoyed Italian cooking, creating wood birdhouses and stained glass, traveling and playing cards with "the Bowling Club", the Patriots, and especially anything involving his family. Most recently he hosted a Hopkinton Cable cooking show. He was also a popular master of ceremonies for many local events. Reno was a longtime member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Milford.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Fischer and her husband Albert of West Tisbury, Elaine Baci Snow of Mendon, and one son, John Baci and his wife Karen Burns of Mendon.
Reno also leaves grandchildren Lydia Fischer, Molly Fischer, Timothy Snow, Thomas Snow, Annalisa Baci, Isabella Baci, step-grandchildren Andrew Fischer, Christopher Fischer, Karen Snow and Dana Burns and many nieces, nephews and dogs.

He was predeceased by sisters Marie Baci, Antonina Sauchelli, Yolanda Tosches, Catherine Filosa, and brothers John Baci and Mariano 'Nello' Baci.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at 9 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 7 East Main St., Milford. Due to construction in the parking lot of the church, please use the municipal parking lot across the street from the church.

A private interment will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements are under the direction of the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, Milford, www.bumafuneralhome.com.
