The Board of Selectmen voted at its June 14, 2011 to accept the resignation of a member of the Parks & Recreation Commission, and to seek candidates for this position.
A joint meeting consisting of the remaining members of the Parks & Recreation Commission and the members of the Board of Selectmen will convene and vote on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 8:00 PM in Room 215 in the Town Hall to appoint an individual to fill this one seat until the next Annual Town Election in May of 2012.
The Parks and Recreation Commission is an elected five member body whose mission is to enable and provide sustainable parks and recreational programs that enhance the quality of life for our community. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets twice a month on Mondays.
