Patricia M. Helmuth, 73, died suddenly at home on Monday, February 11, 2013. She was the wife of the late Ronald Helmuth, who died in February 1994. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Helen (Barry) Bossa.
She was employed by Honeywell for 29 years, retiring in August 2010. She was also employed by the Hopkinton Treasurer’s Office for many years. She volunteered yearly with the Hopkinton Marathon Committee.
She is survived by her daughter Helen Friers Lowell of SC and her son Peter Helmuth of Hopkinton. She also leaves her stepchildren David Helmuth and his wife Cathy of Michigan, Paul Helmuth and his wife Lynne Ann of Bourne, J. Scott Helmuth and his wife Mary of Middleboro, Richard Laney and his wife Samantha of Medway, Sandra Thompson of Virginia, Judi Rice of Franklin and Kristi Landry and her husband Dale of Douglas. In addition, she leaves her brothers Wayne Bossa and his wife Eileen of Norwell, Robert Bossa and his wife Sherry of Franklin and Thomas Bossa and his wife Patty of Florida; and her sister Elaine Sweetman and her husband Donald of Bridgewater. She also leaves 20 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many niece and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Reverend Barry Bossa.
A graveside funeral service will take place Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Hopkinton. Calling hours are Friday, February 15 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Callanan Cronin Funeral Home, 34 Church Street.
