Photography Celebrated In Juried Art Show, Upcoming Exhibit Curated by Renowned Artist & Professor

(September 2, 2014 - HOPKINTON, MA) The Hopkinton Center for the Arts has announced an open call for art for its upcoming juried Photography Show. Juried by artist and professor Chehalis Hegner, the exhibit runs September 30-October 30, 2014 and features a public opening reception and awards ceremony on Friday, October 3, 2014.

Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of photography for consideration by midnight on September 17, 2014 via email to submissions@hopartscenter.org. Awards will be given in the form of first, second, third and honorable mention prizes, which will be announced at the opening reception.

Having an insatiable eye, juror Chehalis Hegner works concurrently on multiple portfolio projects, and is a passionate educator in the art department at the University of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Society of Photographic Educators, and serves on the board of directors at The Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, where she focuses her work on development, strategic planning, and programming.
