Dan Field’s challenging personal journey began on December 10, 2002, when he was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Following two rounds of surgery and radiation treatment, Dan went into remission for nearly 10 years.

Unfortunately, in July of 2012, his cancer returned. Since then, Dan has endured multiple clinical trials and treatment. Through it all, he continues to approach every day with an extraordinarily positive attitude and extreme grace.

We are asking you for your help. A group of friends and colleagues in Hopkinton have joined together to help Dan, Donna, Cam and Evan raise funding for Dan's continued treatment and care. That care is extraordinarily expensive, and it is a challenge for them to do it alone.

As many of you know, Dan and Donna have been, and remain, pillars of the Hopkinton community. They have been deeply engaged in every manner of Hopkinton life, and instrumental in Cub Scouts and Boys Scouts, serving as leaders, guides and mentors to dozens of Hopkinton children.

Dan has been an extraordinarily active fundraiser for cancer research himself. For 10 years he rode in the Pan Mass challenge, raising thousands of dollars for Dana Farber.

We believe deeply that it is now our turn to give something back to the Field family. The resources we raise through this event will help them with a multitude of medical expenses that remain uncovered by insurance.
