A rule change proposal by the FCC could devastate HCAM and other Local Access funding across the country. We ask for your help in supporting HCAM and community media. Below, the MassAccess organization shares how you can help. We thank you for your support and look forward to continuing to do our best to service the Hopkinton community.

"The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is considering rule changes that would allow cable operators to treat funding for cable-related costs as “in-kind” donations. This means they would deduct an undefined amount from monies that traditionally have gone to municipalities and eventually community media centers across the country. This rule change would eliminate a major source of funding from centers and centers having to close their doors.

MassAccess is working to fight this proposed rule change. We are connecting with elected officials at the local, state and federal level to unite them in the fight against this proposed rule change. Click here to learn more about what MassAccess is doing on this matter.

This is a historic piece of policy and we ask you to voice your concern.
