Jill E. Sarafinas née Holman, 68

Jill E. Sarafinas née Holman, 68, of Hopkinton, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 14, 2026. Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Carolyn (Henderson) and Charles A. Holman. She was the wife of 19 years to George Anthony Sarafinas. 

Jill graduated from Hopkinton Jr-Sr High School in 1975 and went on to proudly earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bentley University. After graduation, Jill lived for 19 years in New Jersey before moving to Hopkinton.

Jill was a true jack of all trades. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed making blankets and custom plush dolls. One of her ambitions was to work in theater costuming, where she hoped to put her talents as a seamstress to use. Her final job was as an accountant with Randstad, where she worked for eight years and comfortably retired from. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; a Past Matron of Myrtle Chapter No. 33 in Holliston and a 50-year member. She was also a Deputy Grand Marshal,  a Grand Representative, and was active with the Masonic community, raising money for the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. She loved history and enjoyed heritage festivals and visits to the American Heritage Museum and Renaissance fairs. One of her favorite ways to spend an evening was watching The Curse of Oak Island. She rarely missed it when it was on.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Don Bolin; her siblings, B. Scott Holman, Gail Remby and her husband, John, and Dean Holman and his wife, Rochelle. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22nd from 2-5 p.m. at Chesmore Funeral Home of Hopkinton, 57 Hayden Rowe St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A service from the Eastern Star will follow at 4:30 in the funeral home.
