The Town of Hopkinton, MA has launched a newly designed pilot website. The website  preview is currently available on public use computers at the Hopkinton Public Library,  located at 13 Main Street. Soon - the site will be launched so that it’s accessible from  everywhere.

We wanted to give residents a preview as early as possible. The purpose of the Pilot site is  to give you an opportunity to provide feedback so that we may make additional changes  prior to the full replacement of hopkintonma.gov. Currently, the Pilot site is operating  independent of the existing site at hopkintonma.gov. If you have any feedback regarding  the site - we would love to hear from you! Please help us by filling out a quick survey.

Please keep in mind that this is a working sample website; there are some links or sections  that aren’t yet 100%. We are still working to add more content and fine tune menus and  links.

The new site has been designed with the user experience in mind; to improve navigation  and functionality.
We’ve included a number of new and improved features including:

● Incorporated the Hopkinton Police and Fire websites into the same location - so as  to increase brand awareness of the Town.  ● Responsive design to allow for easy navigation no matter what type of device you  are using (i.e. desktop, tablet, phone, etc.). This provides an infinitely more  scalable site as opposed to having only a desktop and mobile version.    ● Easier navigation including streamlined top menu bar and quick links.   ● A less cluttered homepage - with a dedicated News/Updates section.  ● Accessibility enhancements based on best practices.

● A number of transparency enhancements:  ○ A new partnership with VisGov that provides powerful budget visualizations  and allows you to see a breakdown of where your tax dollars go. I.e. - what  was your contribution to snow and ice removal last year?   ○ Additional budgeting tools are in the works and scheduled to be released  prior to Town Meeting 2018  ○ A re-launch of the Town’s partnership with See Click Fix - an online  transparency portal that allows for reporting of non-emergency service  requests  ○ A brand-new Boards and Committee Database - with an easier application  process and better transparency to Board and Committee Chairs.   ○ A publicly posted town-provided email address for the Chair of each Town  Board or Committee  ○ An improved visual department and board & committee directory with easy  to find phone numbers for each department  Additional functionality and content are already being developed and will be released  when ready.

We hope you enjoy the new site
