Voters of Hopkinton,

Below you will find the election schedule for calendar year 2021 as well as information about elected positions that will be open this year and how to get onto the ballot in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. I encourage everyone who may be interested to contact us with questions, we are always happy to assist and encourage those seeking more information when considering serving their community in such a manner. This past Wednesday, Hopkinton Health Director, Shaun McAuliffe joined us on the Hangout Hour to give us an update on COVID-19 in Hopkinton. Shaun mentioned Hopkinton has had over 500 cases and with the latest surge, the cases for the most part are contained in families.

This past week, the Hopkinton Hillers took on Norwood to open up the 2020-2021 Winter sports season. We kicked off our coverage with JV and Varsity GIrls Basketball Friday, January 8th followed by Boys Hockey on Saturday January 9th and Hillers JV & Varsity Boys Basketball on Sunday, January 10th.

Hannelore Elisabet Scanlon Morin, 80

Hannelore Elisabet Scanlon Morin, 80, of Hopkinton, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 following complications of Covid-19. Born in Walldurn, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ottilia (Mackert) and Rudolf Lohlein. She was the wife of the late George B. Morin.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton January 4th through 10th was 44.6 degrees, the lowest was 21.2 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 31.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 70%, the peak was 95% while the lowest was 32%. Rain accumulated 0.10 inches last week.
