Alberta Inez Irvine, 92, of Framingham and formerly Hopkinton, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Born in Dover, Delaware she was the daughter of the late Cora (McCauley) and Frank Wilson.

As this challenging year of 2020 comes to an end, I hope this email finds you well.

I have not been sending out notices for Wake Up And Smell The Poetry since March as the series ended with the onset of COVID in the U.S. However, the program was going to come to an official end anyway in May after 14 wonderful seasons which I am so grateful to have hosted.

Community Notice: DPW Repairs Water Main 12-30-2020

Please be advised that the water main break has been repaired and water restored to the area. Please check your water before using it and you may need to flush your cold water pipes before using it. Due to the large nature of the break, there could be several pockets that move back and forth through the system for several days as pumps turn off and on. Crews will be monitoring the situation and flush hydrants in the problem areas. Thank you

Hillers Winter Sports Coming up on HCAM starting Friday, January 8th!

Next week, HCAM will have live Hillers Winter Sports. This season we will be streaming Boys & Girls JV and Varsity Basketball, Boys & Girls Varsity Hockey and Alpine Skiing action live!

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton December 21st through 27th was 61 degrees, the lowest was 21.2 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 36.8 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 78%, the peak was 96% while the lowest was 44%. Rain accumulated 2.12 inches last week.
