All MetroWest seniors are welcome to join Senator Karen Spilka at her seventh annual Senior Health and Wellness Fair this Saturday, September 29th at the Joseph P. Keefe Technical School in Framingham.

This event provides a forum for local seniors to learn more about ways they can continue to lead a healthy and active lifestyle and gives them the opportunity to engage in lively discussions about the programs and issues important to their everyday lives.

Throughout the course of the day, seniors will be able to participate in a variety of workshops and presentations aimed at providing important information on senior health programs, benefits, and wellness activities. The Fair will also include a continental breakfast, a hot lunch, and a number of health screenings – all free of charge!

In addition to the presentations and screenings, the day will also include a performance by The Golden Tones, a local chorus that provides enriching entertainment for senior citizen facilities, schools, faith communities, and public events. Its members are men and women of retirement age who sing and dance to life spirits, have fun, and promote health and social engagement to benefit their audiences and themselves.

A few spots are still available so those who are interested in attending should call Senator Spilka’s office at (617) 722-1640 to reserve their space as soon as possible.

Those who are interested in volunteering at this fun event should email Puja at Puja.Mehta@masenate.gov for more information.
