State Police Arrest 2 Operating Stolen Vehicle in Hopkinton During Blizzard

On Tuesday at 5:15pm at the height of the Blizzard Juno, 2 were arrested driving a stolen 2008 Toyota SUV. Troopers determined the vehicle was stolen out of Lowell. The vehicle was spotted by Trooper Greg Doherty traveling on 495 South behind snow plows. As the vehicle entered Hopkinton Trooper Doherty assisted by 5 other officers stopped the vehicle.

Once the vehicle was stopped it was determined that the driver 27-year-old Andrew J, Cormier of Worcester and passenger, 22 year old Shaun A. Janson of Worcester were in the possession of a substance believed to be heroin. "Cormier is charged with violating regulations for a state of emergency, possession of class A narcotic, using a motor vehicle without authority, receiving stolen property, and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license. Janson is charged with possession of class A narcotic, and receiving stolen property."

Cormier and Janson were arraigned Thursday morning at Framingham District Court. No further information is available at this time.
