Many thanks to all our supports and donors, The Hopkinton student led Turkey
Drive to benefit the Salvation Army and Project Just Because was a huge success. We donated 81 turkeys to the Salvation
Army in Framingham last weekend as well as assorted food items and over $200; additionally, 2 turkeys and 31 grocery card gift certificates were given to Project Just Because.

We are so grateful to each and every family that donated a turkey, food or money to make this such a success. A special thank you to the staff at Center School that raises money each year to support this effort; this year they raised over $350. That money was used to buy grocery cards for families receiving holiday baskets from Project Just Because. We also so appreciate Colellas Supermarket for their support; we had a very successful year with donations collected there.

This project is made possible with the patient and enthusiastic support of the Hopkinton Public Schools, specifically the folks hard at work in the kitchens. It can’t be easy to step over and around all those turkeys in the freezers for the week of the drive; yet, they always look happy to see us. We also appreciate our friends in the media that help us get the word out.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving all, and thank you again for helping continue what has become a very important tradition in Hopkinton.

Sincerely,

Drew Johnson HHS ‘14 and family
