Reading to, and with, your child is the most important thing that parents can do to support their developing reader. Please join Superintendent, Cathy MacLeod and Center School Principal, Lauren Dubeau for an informative series focused on supportive reading strategies parents can use to make reading together stress-free and fun!

The All Star Reading Program is intended to encourage children in the early elementary grades to become more self-directed, and to take responsibility for constructing reading strategies that work for them. It is also meant to provide parents with tools that are different from the instruction teachers provide. You will learn strategies such as; “Look at the Book, Shadow Me, Nudge, Move On, Five Finger Rule and Give me a Clue.”

The Workshops are on June 4th and 18th from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the Elmwood School Library. Babysitting starts at 3:45 pm. Each workshop is different, so come to one or come to both.

We hope to see you there!
