Letter to the Editor:

My name is Amy Mick and my husband Troy and I are writing in support of Amy Ritterbusch for School Committee. I have been fortunate to work with Amy in several different volunteer roles within the HPTA, and what always comes through is Amy’s dedication to the schools. Between the time she spends attending school committee meetings, and researching areas of interest and/or concern we are confident that she would be able to transition seamlessly into the role, and know that she is aware and comfortable with the enormous time commitment School Committee Members need to volunteer.

Amy has a strong background, both professionally and in her many volunteer roles, in communications. With the many challenges and projects that the School Committee deals with on an annual basis it would be a huge asset to have someone with Amy’s communication background to help keep the community abreast of the issues that the School Committee is working on, opportunities for the community to weigh in and progress being made.

Amy and her husband Tim have been in Hopkinton for nine years, and in that time they have both volunteered their time to help the community, especially the kids in town, whether it be the schools, scouting or youth athletics. Their children are spread throughout our great schools, and Amy is familiar with the different challenges that face our children in the different schools. She will be ready to immediately jump in and make an impact, and help improve the communication to the community.

We would encourage you to take the time to speak to Amy and learn more about why she wants to get involved. And then we hope you will join us in voting for Amy Ritterbusch for School Committee.

Respectfully,

Amy and Troy Mick
