Experienced and respected theater educator Arlynn Polletta will be teaching three courses at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts this spring. Classes include a Creative Movement for Little Ones (children ages 2.9 months to 5 years), musical theater class with a performance of Moosical (ages preK-3rd grade), and an Acting for the Camera (ages 13 and up). Classes will be held at HCA (98 Hayden Rowe) and begin on April 1st.

“Teaching performance art is my passion,” Polletta explained. “I love working with all age levels and seeing kids take risks on stage and realize their creative potential.”

Polletta, who has a master’s in theater education from Emerson College, has been teaching since 2002, and has taught at Charles River School, Boston Casting, Brimmer and May, the Center for Arts in Natick, Wheelock Family Theater, Grover Cleveland Middle School, and Helen Hays Theater Company. She is also associate director at the Charles River Creative Arts. She has been teaching classes at Hopkinton Center for the Arts since 2009.

“Arlynn really has a special talent in dealing with children and young adults and helping them explore their creativity,” said Kelly Grill, executive director at HCA. “She believes in connecting with her students because she thinks they learn best when they are valued, engaged and inspired. We are very fortunate to have her at HCA.”
