HOPKINTON — Director of Information Technology Josh Grossetti is pleased to announce the launch of a new language translation tool now available on the Town of Hopkinton's website.

The translation tool can be accessed on the town's site, www.hopkintonma.gov. Translations are offered in more than 80 languages including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and more:
Arabic: khiarat jadidat litarjamat almawaqie al'iilikturuniat mutahatan eabr mutarjim jujil ealaa hopkintonma.gov

Based on information from the Hopkinton school district, these languages are the languages that HPS currently provides translation/interpretation for, throughout households in town.

"We are pleased to offer this new translation service as it allows us to be more inclusive for non-English speaking community members, and it ensures that all of our residents have equitable access to town information shared on our site," Director Grossetti said.

Community members should note that the town's third-party tool, Google Translate, is an external website and, as such, the town does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content. Community members can report incorrect translation by hovering over the text containing the error and clicking “Contribute a better translation" in the text box that appears. More information about contributing to Google Translate can be found here and here.
Anyone with questions regarding the new translation service is encouraged to contact Director Grossetti at 508-497-9756 or [email protected].
