The Town of Hopkinton seeks a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator for its DPW Department.

This position will work under the supervision of a Highway Manager. Operates a variety of motor driven vehicles and equipment including trucks with a rated capacity of more than 26,001 lbs. G.V.W. (Gross Vehicle Weight), tractors, road sweepers, etc. in the provision of public works services; performs all other related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Equivalent to High School diploma and three years full time experience operating equipment and trucks in construction and maintenance work.
• Must be able to operate: Heavy motor equipment, such as backhoe, front end loader, street sweeper, sanders and plow, in accordance with department safety procedures.
• Must have or be able to obtain the following licenses: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B; Hoisting Engineer License, Class 2B and a Class 1C or 4A.

Hiring Pay Range: $24.06 – $24.55, DOQ; Full Range to $25.04 hourly
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am – 2:30 pm, on-call and overtime required
