Dear Vets and Friends,

November is a month with many activities focused on veterans. Our monthly Vets Breakfast conforms to that trend.

Friday, 4 November 2016, at 0900 hours Hopkinton veterans will enjoy chipped beef and the full extent of warm camaraderie. For starters, visit your friends and fellow veterans:

Several photos have been newly posted in recent days - www.hcam.tv/series/veterans/slideshow.shtml

Any number of these handsome young men might share your breakfast table at the Senior Center on Friday.

We will recognize the comrades lost during the past month, and name the veterans who are on house-bound sick call. It is a generous use of time to visit some of the Vets who aren't getting around so very well.

Memories of military events that previously occurred on November 4th will be shared. Other announcements will keep you current with veterans' activities in Hopkinton.

A free breakfast is available to anyone who correctly answers the monthly baseball quiz: Since WW II four hitters had 5 or more seasons batting .350 or better. Rod Carew and Tony Gwynn are two of them. The other two are Red Sox. Who are they?

Any veteran with transportation difficulties should call Amy Beck on/before 2 November 2016, 508 497-9730.

Amer. Legion McDonough-Carlberg Post 202 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, and the blessing of the meal.

See you Friday. Out.
