Video: 3rd Annual Hopkinton Police National Night Out

The 3rd annual National Night out took place at the Hopkinton Middle School fields. The nationwide event allows community members with participating departments of all ages to talk with their local Police Officers and learn about safety and what the Police Department does to keep the community safe. "It's basically a partnership with the community... the main thing is keeping people safe and crime prevention" stated Police Chief, Edward Lee.

Officer, Stephen Buckley spoke about the Hopkinton 1st initiative and stated the goal is to make Hopkinton the safest community in Massachusetts. Currently Hopkinton is ranked the 4th safest community according to safewise.com. To promote the initiative, green bracelets were handed out at the event which stated "Hopkinton 1st".

The 3rd annual National Night Out included a visit from the Massachusetts State Police chopper, face painting, a bouncy house, Police and Swat gear on display as well as a K-9 demonstration from Holliston Sergeant, Matthew Stone and his K-9 partner "Cesh". View highlights below.
