After a recount was done for the Board of Health open seat, the results were the same as the original. Jennifer Flanagan edged Dr. Phillip Cohen by 9 votes. 804-795. The recount was the first major task for newly elected Town Clerk, Connor Degan who stated that on the petition requesting the recount there was an issue with the absentee ballots "on the petition it also included that there was a breach in the chain of command of absentees".

Degan felt the recount was very successful "I think it went rather smoothly, we ended up finishing a lot sooner than we expected...there weren't any challenges on any of the ballots and all in all I'd look at this as a pretty smooth victory on this."

Newly elected Board of Health member, Jennifer Flanagan said she was nervous during the recount but "excited" about the result "it feels really really great, I am really excited, first and foremost I have to thank everyone who participated because a lot of volunteers were here, a lot of volunteers just for me, a lot of volunteers just for the town and we couldn't have done it with all of their help."
