Video: Hillers Field Hockey and Boys Soccer Grab Wins 10/11/2017

On Wednesday October 11th, Hillers Field Hockey took on Holliston at the Fruit st. fields. Less than 3 minutes in Beth Koeller makes it 1-0 Hillers on a backhander. Just over a couple minutes later, Caroline Murphy strikes from in front to make it 2-0 and then about another 3 and a half minutes later, Ava Clarke adds the 3rd and final goal of the 1st half for either team. 3-0 Hillers lead heading to 2nd half.

More of a defensive effort by Holliston in the 2nd half, but the Hillers did add 1 more. Elizabeth Gross knocks the ball in front of the net, Caroline Murphy finished it off. The Hillers took the victory over Holliston 4-0 and officially clinched a playoff spot. Hillers Field Hockey stands at 9 wins, 2 losses and a tie on the season.

Meanwhile right next store, Hillers Boys Vartsity Soccer was in action versus Westwood. Michael Poovakad drew up the penalty and then took advantage of the opportunity. Westwood evened things up a couple minutes later with a goal of their own. Owen Delaney put the Hillers up 2-1 a couple minutes later with a long shot from the top of the left corner of the box. Hillers added one more in the last 3-4 minutes of the game, Senior, Jay Tomlinson added another goal.

The Hillers Boys get the important 3-1 victory over Westwood and now stand at 5 wins 6 losses and 2 ties on the season. The victory keeps the Hillers right in the playoff hunt and the Hillers are now on a 2 game winning streak.
