The 10 and 0 Hopkinton Hillers took on the 10 and 0 Melrose Red Raiders in the Division 4 State Semi-Finals. All defense in the 1st quarter, but Melrose found the endzone to cap off a long drive in the 2nd. Later in the 2nd quarter, a costly mistake by the Melrose defense, they leave Ryan Kelleher's favorite target wide open. Will Abbott caught a touchdown pass and than threw a 2 point conversion pass to Matt Lindquist off the flea-flicker. Hillers remained up 8-7 at the half. The Melrose offense puts together another long drive to start the 3rd quarter. Then later in the quarter, Issac Seide finds a big hole in the Hopkinton defense.

Melrose never looked back after the 2 3rd quarter touchdowns. The game would end by a final score of 22 to 8. Melrose improves to 11 and 0 and advances to the Division 4 Super Bowl game versus Nashoba. Hopkinton ends a terrific playoff run with a 10 and 1 record. The Hillers next play Thanksgiving Day 10am at David M. Hughes Stadium versus Ashland in the annual Thanksgiving rivalry game.
