Legacy Farms Road North officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday April 6th. The Ceremony took place inside the Weston Nurseries Green house due to rain but thanks to a brief stoppage during the rain storm, town government leaders and contributers to the Legacy Farms development were able to cut the ribbon outside infront of the new road. View highlights of the ceremony below.

The town released the following public notice regarding the new road: "Legacy Farms Road North is now substantially complete and open for traffic. It provides a vital link between Routes 85 and 135, serving as a bypass and relief valve for the now congested Main Street in the downtown. It also provides the foundation of the road network serving over 425 units now under construction at Legacy Farms North. "This project is also good for the trail community in Town, providing access to the numerous existing and future trails at Legacy Farms," Mr. Weismental, Chairman of the Planning Board, said. Construction of Legacy Farms Road North was funded through MassWorks grant and private funding and managed by the Town. "We are happy with this public-private investment on the town's road network and appreciate that giving drivers an alternate route to Main Street especially during peak times will be a real benefit to the community in the immediate term," said Brian Herr."
