Video: Powder Puff Football 2016 Highlights

On Friday November 18th 2016, the 10th annual Powderpuff Football match took place between the class of 2017 and class of 2018. The Class of 2017 was the first Junior class to defeat the Seniors in last years game and were looking to stay perfect this year.

Taylor Velazquez gets things started off right for the seniors. Velazquez takes it 60 yards to the house to make it a 6-0 game. Emily Mastroianni converts on the extra point attempt to make it 7-0 game. The Juniors strike back however QB Caitlyn Halloran takes it on a keeper 21 yards to 6 point land. The score would remain 7-6 Seniors at the half.

In the 2nd half, Caitlyn Halloran gets a big run to put the juniors at the Seniors 25 yard line and then a Caroline Murphy burns right through the seniors defense for the touchdown. Conversion attempt fails but the Juniors have the 12-7 lead until late in the game.

Seniors have the ball with about 2 and a half minutes left to go. Jenny Nixon got the seniors inside the 20 and thenthey went back to their go-to running back.. Taylor Velazquez. Velazquez gets to the end-zone and gives the seniors back the lead. Valezquez also ran in the extra point conversion. Seniors take the 14-12 lead and that would be all they need to take home the coveted Powderpuff championship trophy.
