The Hopkinton School Committee hosted a special public hearing meeting. The committee discussed the budget. Financial Director Ralph Dumas delivered
his 32nd and final budget public hearing as he is planning retirement after this year. School Committee member Jean Bertschmann had some kind words for Ralph Dumas prior to his retirement before the Committee unanimously agreed on a budget for 2018.
The school committee also announced their intent to choose a name for the new elementary school building. The official naming will take place at the school committee meeting on March 2nd. Community members are invited to submit names either by written submission or by appearing before the committee at their next regular meeting on January 19th in the Hopkinton High School library.
