The Town Election results are in and for Board of Selectmen there were 4 candidates for 2 open seats, Brendan Tedstone and Claire Wright will fill the 2 open Board of Selectmen seats, In this years town election, there were 7 contested races overall, see results here!
The day after the town election, the 1st Hopkinton Selectmen meeting was held with new Selectmen Brendan Tedstone and Claire Wright, the board reorganized and voted 4-1 to make Brian Herr the chairman and voted unanimously to make John Coutinho Co-Chair.
During the meeting Selectmen congratulated Program Director of Hopkinton Youth & Family Services, Denise E. Hildreth for receiving her PHD from Simmons college. Selectmen also welcomed in that Planning Board for a joint meeting to interview candidates for 2 open seats on the Planning Board. After hearing out all the candidates, the boards decided on Brian Karp and Vincent Cerulle to fill the vacant seats until the 2017 town election.
