Volleyball, Golf and Soccer

In Volleyball, the Hopkinton Varsity beat Millis today 3-0 with game scores of 26-24, 25-19, 25-17. The Hiller’s record stands at 4-1.

Senior outside hitter Emma Sweetapple led the attack with 11 kills, 2 aces and 10 service points. She also had 12 defensive digs.
Junior setter Katy Cook had 25 assists and 1 kill. Katy excelled serving with 5 aces and 15 service points.
Sophomore libero Kristen Cooprider played well defensively with near perfect serve receive and 8 digs.

Hopkinton also had strong offense from senior right side hitter Chelsea Adam (6 kills, 1 block) and sophomore outside hitter Tess Chandler (5 kills, 2 blocks, great passing). The Hiller's next match will be against the Mustangs in Medway on Friday at 5:30pm.

In Golf, the JV team traveled down to Ponkapoag and tried a new creative scoring system and defeated Medfield by the score of 162-144 and that gives the JV a 5-0 record. Jack Yaggy was the low scorer for the JV team yesterday.

The Varsity team ran into a very talented and deep Medfield team on Wednesday as they scored "LIGHTS OUT" at Hopkinton C.C. today. The final score was 41-31 with Medfield winning and their record is 6-0-1 and the Hillers record goes to 4-3. The Hillers were led by Kelsey Baker who shot her low competitive round in her match play record for these past two years by shooting a 1 over par 37.

Thursday starts MEDAL PLAY vs. Ashland @ Millwood Farms in Framingham.

Finally, Boys Varsity Soccer took on Nipmuc yesterday and came out on top, 3-0 on the Warrior pitch.
