Good afternoon this is Eric Carty with the water and sewer department with a water supply update. Crews worked until midnight making repairs to the water system. Due to the location and size of the water main break yesterday, the system is taking longer than normal to clear up. Crews are flushing hydrants in the affected areas. We ask that you periodically try your cold water line to see if your area has cleared. Although the water is discolored from the minerals being dislodged from the inside of the pipe, it is safe to use. There could be periodic discoloration over the next several days as the pockets of discoloration work their way through the system. We thank you for your patience as we try and resolve the situation.
