Weston Nurseries Inc. recently announced that they have hired Tom Strangfeld as a Landscape Designer. Strangfeld returns to Weston Nurseries, where he worked prior to 2005 for 30 years in various management roles, including overseeing the Garden Center operation, the Landscaping Department and commercial sales.

“We are very excited to have Tom back working here in this role," says Peter Mezitt, President of Weston Nurseries. "He is a teacher by nature. He is passionate about his work and has a tremendous eye for creating beautiful landscapes that involve gardens with seasonal interests, patios, walls, and other architectural features. Tom is well known in the area and customers really enjoy working with him.

While at Weston Nurseries, Strangfeld often worked on the larger-scale projects with customers and is well known for producing the fabulous exhibits for Weston Nurseries at the New England Flower Show, five of which were awarded the Presidents Cup for Best in Show.

“I’m proud to be rejoining some of the best horticulturists I know, my good friends at Weston Nurseries," says Strangfeld. "Like them, I get genuine satisfaction from helping my clients realize the untapped potential of their home. In 1977, when I joined Weston Nurseries, I believed there was no better place for the homeowner to acquire plants and the knowledge to appreciate them. I rejoin them with that confidence intact and look forward to helping them serve you.”

The Weston Nurseries main location is 25 miles west of Boston in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. A second garden center in Chelmsford, MA was opened in March, 2011. Since 1923, Weston Nurseries has been known by homeowners and trade professionals for their exceptional trees, shrubs, and perennials, including their own introductions of azaleas and rhododendrons. Their staff offers sound horticultural advice and landscape design to help customers beautify their landscape, enhance their lifestyle, and increase the value of their home.
