The Hopkinton Hiller Cheerleaders put it all together This past weekend and came in Second Place in the New England “Spirit” Cheer Championship. This is the highest High School sponsored competition in New England. The very best come to this competition from all over New England’s six States. Hopkinton wasn’t intimidated and did not withdraw from the challenge. This fantastic group of young women went out on the mat today and arguably performed their best routine of the year.
There is one team member (leader) who, without her guidance and wisdom, this would be not have been possible. Melissa Zwang, Hopkinton Hiller Cheer head coach, has been the guiding force behind the success of this team for nearly a decade. This is only the second time Hiller Cheer has been to The New England Spirit Cheer Competition (last year was the first) and given the fact that they placed in only their second year, is a true testament to Melissa’s commitment to athletic excellence and her unwavering dedication to sportsmanship and character. Congratulations to Hopkinton Hiller Cheerleaders you make your school AND town proud!!
