I know this is a busy time of year. However, if you happen to be free on Friday night ... I highly recommend the following very exciting storytelling program that will be taking place in Hopkinton!

After the holidays...If you are a fan of NPR "The Moth" or have always been a fan of the telling of true stories, consider making time to sit back and enjoy true stories told by Laura Packer and Kevin Brooks on Friday night Dec 28th in Hopkinton.

Laura has performed around the world, at venues including First Night Boston,Three Apples Storytelling Festival, many colleges and universities, including Massachusetts Institute of Technology and University of Edinburgh, etc and in 2009, Laura was recognized for her national service to the storytelling community with an Oracle Award from the National Storytelling Network.

Laura's husband is Kevin Brooks...also a much acclaimed storyteller and activist and former MIT scientist who has been a featured performer at festivals, spoken word series venues conferences. He has also performed for elementary school children, teens, adults and families and has worked on "multi-linear narrative research" being a collection of small related story pieces designed to be arranged in many different ways, to tell many different linear stories from different points of view, with the aid of a story engine which sequences the story pieces.

This will be a very special grand finale evening event with two of Boston's best- loved storytellers and hosts who will be moving to the Mid-west in January.
Come listen to an hour of their stories, enjoy mingling with fellow story-lovers over appetizers and a glass of wine or some celebratory sending-off cake!

Consider putting your name in the hat to share a story during the community hour afterwards! Hope to see you there at this intimate gathering place where we will be sharing the art of storytelling.
