Hopkinton/DS Girls and Hopkinton Boys earn HUGE wins in TVL Hockey Double-Header

Hopkinton/DS Girls and Hiller Boys hockey were both in action at the New England Sports Center this past Wednesday night and both teams captured big wins!

#34 ranked Hopkinton/Dover-Sherborn Girls Hockey Co-Op improved to 5-11-2 with an overtime upset 3 to 2 win over #24 Norwood. Norwood falls to 6-10-1.

Hopkinton Sophomore, Lucey Jean netted all 3 goals for the Hillers and Hop/DS, Nipmuc Sophomore, Riley Collura was fantastic in net. The game-winning goal was scored on a breakaway by Lucey Jean at 1:13 left in the 5-minute OT period.

The 26.2 Foundation kicked off the 100th year anniversary celebration of the Boston Marathon Start-line in Hopkinton. Hopkinton became the home of the start-line in 1824 and this year will host the start of the world's most famous Marathon for the 100th year in a row.

The Hopkinton Public Schools Music Department is proud to share that Aritro Chatterjee (Viola), Aman Kumar (Tuba), and Aditya Machiraju (Tuba), were accepted into the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All-State Festival to take place March 22 and 23 in Worcester and Symphony Hall in Boston.

The following students successfully auditioned and were accepted to the 2024 Central District Massachusetts Music Educators Association Junior District Festival. The students auditioned on Saturday, February 3 at Grafton High School.

Hopkinton Public Library to Host 'Truly Eleanor' Biographical Performance

Library Director Nanci Hill and the Hopkinton Public Library, in partnership with the Hopkinton Women’s Club, are pleased to invite community members to a showing of “Truly Eleanor” by the Delvena Theatre Company next month.

WHAT:
Delvena Theatre Company will present "Truly Eleanor," a biographical performance about the life of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt.

Harriet Louise Taggart, 93

Harriet Louise Taggart, 93, of Castleton, Vermont, and recently Hopkinton, MA, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Born in Rutland, Vermont, she was the daughter of the late Marie (Beckett) and Richard Buckey. She was the wife of 50-plus years to the late Robert Taggart.

Harriet was a retired registered nurse at Rutland Hospital and finished her nursing career at Loretto Nursing Home in Rutland, Vermont.
