Community Notice: Hydrant Flushing March 11th through 22nd

As discussed in our fall notification, the town has developed the first portion of our unidirectional flushing program. Now that consistently warmer temperatures have arrived, in an effort to improve water quality and reduce water discoloration instances, the town will be conducting systematic hydrant flushing in the Hayden Rowe, Chestnut, Thayer Heights, Front Street and Springwood areas. Flushing is anticipated to begin March 11-22, weather pending. The flushing will take place 9AM-2PM.

Boy Scout Troop 4 Pancake Breakfast on April 6th

Boy Scout Troop 4 of Hopkinton will hold its Annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday April 6th from 7:30 am until 11:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church Hall, 20 Church St, Hopkinton. The scouts will serve original, chocolate chip, and gluten/dairy/nut free pancakes! Breakfast includes sausage, juice, coffee, and more. While you’re there, take time to bid on the amazing silent auction items donated by our generous sponsors! General admission is $6 (advanced purchase from local scouts), $8 (at the door), senior citizens $4 ($5 at the door), and veterans eat free.

Town of Hopkinton Launching New VaxCare Program to Increase Vaccination Access for Community Members

Town Manager Norman Khumalo and Public Health Nurse Simone Carter are pleased to share a new initiative by the Town of Hopkinton that is expected to increase vaccination access and service for community members.

The Town is partnering with VaxCare, a no-cost vaccine provider, to facilitate future community vaccination clinics.

Treasurer Goldberg Announces Latest Release of Unclaimed Property Listings

Massachusetts State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg has announced the latest grouping of names added to the state’s list of unclaimed property owners. Over 50,000 new properties worth millions of dollars are owed to individuals and businesses throughout the Commonwealth.

“Did you know there is $3.4 billion in unclaimed property here in Massachusetts? 1 in 10 people in this state are owed money and one of them could be you,” said Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg. “So check the list, go online, or call our office to search for your name and begin the process today.”

Hopkinton Hillers Alpine Ski 2024 State Championship Results

The MIAA Alpine Ski State Championships took place on Tuesday Feb 27th at Wachusett Mountain. Five Hiller Skiers competed including: Lucie Mato, Annaleigh Crantz, Lila Mato for the Girls and JB Flynn + Barry O'Brien for the Boys.

Alpine Ski Head Coach, Shawn Mato shared the results with us of the Hiller Skiers. You can view the full MIAA results in the attachments below!

Middlesex Sheriff's Office announces registration for the 2024 Youth Public Safety Academy is open

Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian is pleased to announce registration for the 2024 Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA) is now open.

Now in its 24th year, YPSA is an educational and affordable summer program that is open to all children living in Middlesex County ages 8-12. Older children have the opportunity to become a Counselor-in-Training. The program is comprised of five, one-week camps and is held at the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office Training Academy in Chelmsford.
