On the January 7th edition of HCAM News Live, we will have the latest updates from the Hopkinton Police Department, Hopkinton Health Director, School Superintendent and talk with Hillers Boys Basketball Head Coach, Tom Keane!

HCAM News will be live every Thursday on HCAM-TV at 6:30pm until 7pm to keep you up to date with all that is happening in Hopkinton.

Hopkinton Public Library Announces Temporary Building Closure as of 4pm January 7th

Due to the spike in COVID-19 cases in Hopkinton and regionally, the Hopkinton Public Library building will be closing to the public as of 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 7. Library services will be available on a remote/curbside-only basis as of Friday, January 8. The building will remain closed to the public until at least Friday, January 22.

Walk-in hours before the building closes will be:

10 am-12:30 pm on Wednesday, January 6

1 pm-4 pm on Thursday, January 7

The library's curbside/remote service hours will continue to be:

Jim Cozzens talked with Chief Bennett, Lieutenant Porter and Sergeant McNeil about happenings at the Hopkinton Police Department in the first half of the show. In the 2nd half, School Superintendent, Dr. Carol Cavanaugh and Health Director, Shaun McAuliffe joined with a Health Update.

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton December 30th through Jan 6th was 62.6 degrees, the lowest was 27.5 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 42.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 76%, the peak was 97% while the lowest was 36%. Rain accumulated 3.32 inches last week. Acceler-8 I-90 Bridge Replacements Project January 2021 Update

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will replace bridges on I-90 east and westbound over Flanders Road in Westborough and Parkerville Road, Cordaville Road, and Woodland Road in Southborough. The replacement of the eight bridges (2 spans per bridge) will take place over eight weekends in summer 2021.

The contractor and its subcontractors began preliminary work to prepare for major construction on December 2. Throughout the month of December, the project team completed the following work:
