This past week, the Hopkinton Hillers took on Norwood to open up the 2020-2021 Winter sports season. We kicked off our coverage with JV and Varsity GIrls Basketball Friday, January 8th followed by Boys Hockey on Saturday January 9th and Hillers JV & Varsity Boys Basketball on Sunday, January 10th.

On the January 14th edition of HCAM News Live, we will have highlights from Week 1 of the Hillers Winter Sports season, Health Director, Shaun McAuliffe gives a health update, Bob Dobinski talks constructing a COVID-19 Center plus much more!

According to the DPW weather station, the highest temperature reached in Hopkinton January 4th through 10th was 44.6 degrees, the lowest was 21.2 degrees. Average temperature during the week in Hopkinton was 31.9 degrees. Humidity was at an average of 70%, the peak was 95% while the lowest was 32%. Rain accumulated 0.10 inches last week. Karen Harvey Cox, 72 of Hopkinton, Massachusetts passed away unexpectedly at home on January 6th. She is survived by her husband Edwin B. Cox Jr. of 33 years, daughters Ashley Cox of Hopkinton, MA and Sarah Cole and husband Michael Cole of Cary, NC. Along with her joy, three grands RJ and Brayden Gibson and Logan Cole. Also survived by her mother, Doris Harvey; sister, Susan Ann and husband, Bob Messier and niece Martha, Sister Lynne and Husband Steve Drinkwater.
